[Summer Camp] Little Librarian Experience Camp - So it is! This is the museum

Introduction

The skills required for the job of an art gallery and museum are mostly unfamiliar to the public or have misunderstandings about the content of the job.

It may be misunderstood that the art museum staff only need to guide or maintain the basic work of the works, but in different aspects such as planning exhibitions, education promotion, public relations marketing, etc., it is often the most important operation strategy hidden behind the art museum.



What abilities should a librarian have, and what functions does an art gallery have?

Through on-the-spot inspections of the course, this activity uses the librarians to express themselves to appreciate the entire museum, learn the functions of the museum, and cultivate museum personnel.

This summer vacation, we call on little art lovers from all over Taiwan to go to Yuxiu Art Museum to explore an art journey to know the art museum!

The Little Librarian Experience Camp will explore the wonderful exhibitions of an art museum and the operating clues hidden in it from different perspectives.



Through field observation, go to each department of the museum to listen to the work sharing of each group of librarians, understand the various functions of the museum, the wonderful tour of the current exhibition, and reveal the secrets of the museum that have not been disclosed and only the librarians know!

We accept all kinds of challenges by ourselves, and through six classes in two days, let us become professional art museum librarians.

Continuing course 2, let’s discuss what we have gained from the tour and sharing. What skills should a good tour guide have?

Visit various departments of the museum and interview librarians to understand the work of the museum! Explore the museum through the most authentic contact with the group members.

Continue course three, after getting to know the librarians of each unit. The group discusses their most suitable position and shares the characteristics they observe in that position. And think about the attitude you should have to be a librarian, a museum person.
