Introduction
In different eras and cultures, non-human animals (hereinafter referred to as "animals") appear in the art field in their images or entities. With the deepening of contemporary art's pursuit of aesthetics and the improvement of social criticism, animals are "present" or "represented" in different works in a scattered form, and most of them are visual art.
It is undeniable that animals are often used only as elements in contemporary art, either as cultural metaphors or as spectacle displays. From the different levels of the animal kingdom, species to individuals, to the diversity of animal existence, the translation or untranslatability of animal language, to a large extent, it has not been discussed and examined intensively.
In this talk, the speaker will review how animal rights have become the focus of philosophical, ethical and social discussions in recent years. The aesthetic presentation and meaning of animals must also be studied in such a social and cultural context.
