Introduction
Elephants swaying their trunks, pandas sitting and lying in the forest, and horses galloping in the fields, all kinds of creatures strive to survive in nature, showing the vitality of species and enriching the beauty of the earth.
Visiting the habitats of wild animals in person and reading ecologically related videos and books can help you gain a better understanding and appreciation of animals. However, reading books and watching videos do not have the experience of being there. Observing in the zoo lacks the instinctive living conditions of wild animals, and visiting the habitats of these animals on the spot can easily disturb the original ecology. If you want to get close to animals, you can What are the methods?
This summer, Yuxiu Art Museum invited Bernie Peyton, a biological origami artist, to use paper as a medium to observe animals, recognize animals, understand animals, and recreate their own exclusive animals. The crystallization of wisdom evolved in the pursuit of survival, fold, bend, and turn with both hands, put vitality into the thin paper surface, and explore the mysteries of animals together with the "paper" object.

Instructors
Dr. Bernie Peyton
Patten studied for a Bachelor of Arts at Harvard University. After graduation, he continued to explore the art of origami and painting, fell in love with wild animals through a chance encounter, and then returned to campus to study at the University of California, Berkeley, for a Ph.D. in biology. With both artistic and biological backgrounds, Pai Teng's unique origami creations are created. In addition to the appearance and posture of various animals, his origami also shows the diverse survival behaviors of animals and the environment in which creatures inhabit.
In the creation of biological origami, Pai Teng tries his best to use folding or turning skills to show the charm of various animals. His special origami skills are not only recognized internationally but also widely welcomed by Taiwanese. Pai Teng once worked in the National Museum of History in Taiwan. He exhibited works, and served as the curator of the special exhibition Miracles on Paper at the Chi Mei Museum.
In Pai Teng's origami teaching, we can feel his passion for origami art and his research on biological sciences, and let people find pure happiness through origami.
