Introduction

Plant Science Mapping is the beauty of science and art, conveying the secret language of nature through the medium of images.

Although the invention of today's camera can document a variety of phenomena, the scientific mapping of plants has not been replaced by the advent of photography. There are many abstract ecological and evolutionary processes that cannot be described in the natural world, all of which must be described by scientific drawing, showing the irreplaceable value and function of traditional hand-drawn scientific drawing.

Scientific drawing needs to rely on a large number of photographs and physical observation and curiosity of animals and plants. Through a tiny phenomenon, keep doubts and curiosity in the heart, honestly record their true appearance, and explore the hidden principles. This course will be led by Professor Hu Zheming, who will learn about scientific drawing, invest in observation, drawing techniques, and practical operations, guide students to learn scientific drawing step by step, and outline the diverse plant ecology.

※This activity involves outdoor collection. There are many mosquitoes in the natural environment. Please wear thin, long-sleeved and comfortable clothes.
※The morning meeting time is 10:00-10:30 (10:30 will start on time and no overtime will be waited), and the afternoon meeting time will be 12:50-13:00 (13:00 will start on time and no overtime will be waited).
